Meet Jade and Chak.

I am photographing their Chinese wedding in few weeks time. We met for the first time a few weeks ago to have a look around their wedding venue, a registry office in St Albans. We had also planned to tie in a little pre wedding shoot, in the immediate area surrounding the venue. We couldn’t use the actual grounds as another wedding service had just finished and were starting their formal photos. But that was fine, I don’t always like to use the exact same spots for a pre shoot as on the actual day anyway.

A pre shoot is more about me getting to know my couple and them me. Its about giving my couple a feel for the day and what they can expect from me. Its about learning what my couples do or don’t like and hopefully helping them to feel more comfortable in front of the camera.

I decided to show these photos all in BW as I felt colour would give too much away of their actual wedding day. Jade wanted to wear one of her two dresses for the day so that she could get an idea of how she would look. Chak also wore his suit.

How perfect is this little kiss! Must be one of the sweetest I’ve photographed! www.sarahlondonphotography.co.uk www.sarahlondonphotography.co.uk www.sarahlondonphotography.co.uk www.sarahlondonphotography.co.uk www.sarahlondonphotography.co.uk www.sarahlondonphotography.co.uk

This is one of my favourites from their shoot. I love the way the little girl is looking up at them wondering what on earth we’re doing.www.sarahlondonphotography.co.uk www.sarahlondonphotography.co.uk www.sarahlondonphotography.co.uk www.sarahlondonphotography.co.uk

Jade is quite the giggler. Im looking forward to their big day, it should be lots of fun!www.sarahlondonphotography.co.uk

On seeing their pre shoot photos, of which these are a small selection, Jade sent me a lovely email to say “Thank you sooo much, you are so fantastic at what you do and have brought so many memories for us to start our married life together with. We look forward to sharing the special day with you too. Lots of love Jade and chak”
I also very much look forward to being able to capture many more memories of not only the two of them but also their family and friends in a few weeks time. Their wedding day will also include a tea ceremony and meal at a chinese restaurant – something very different and exciting for me!
