Yay! Only two weeks into the new year and I have managed to blog some of my favourite documentary images from last year! ………. might this be a sign for the year ahead? ……. hahaha who am I kidding!

As always it was so hard to narrow the choice down, and I again choose to show only documentary moments. Not only because I am a documentary wedding photographer and thats what I specialise in but also because I feel these are the moments that show the joy, atmosphere, fun and personality of a wedding day – it’s not only about the couple and their portraits but about their family and friends and the real moments that make up each individual wedding – and the bits that my couples don’t often get to see but afterwards will serve as an amazing reminder of their day and fill in the gaps for them.
Last year took me to fields, farms, barns, houses, tipi’s and tents – all the places I love!
There were Morris Dancers, Cows, Dogs, bouncy castles, bonfires, booze, ice-cream and pizza and A WHOLE LOT of crazy dancing, face pulling, shape making silliness and best of all LOTS of love and laughter!

Well my prediction last year about writing similar each year is looking correct! Haha but it is true, I am so lucky that I do simply get THEEE best couples and families, but it really was another fantastic year – as you’ll see – with more fabulous couples and I must thank every one of them and their families for making me feel really welcome, treating me like an old friend and allowing me just to do my thing in capturing unique and real moments that tell a wonderful story to be remembered for ever!
Going back through last years weddings makes me really excited for what 2019 will bring and all the new couples who’s wonderful day I will get to share and who’s lives I’m going to get to dip my toes into.

So many wonderful Brighton and Sussex based weddings in 2018 and so many Sussex venues I hope to re visit in 2019!
